    * Family Wushu class starts Sept. 11

    A new series of classes for parents and young children will be held on Sunday mornings at the Boston school by instructor Leda Elliott. The class will run from Sept. 11 to Nov. 20 at 11 AM.       The Bow Sim Mark Tai Chi Arts Association is canceling classes for Sunday Aug. 28 at the Boston school due to the approach of Hurricane Irene. The performance for Films at the Gate on Saturday night is still tentatively on, but check the event website for updates:

        Grandmaster Bow Sim Mark and her students will perform at the 6th annual Films at the Gate free outdoor kung fu film festival in Boston’s Chinatown on Saturday Aug. 27 at approximately 7:15 PM. The event will take place at the Greenway park next to the Chinatown Gate. The movie scheduled for that evening is Jackie Chan’s THE YOUNG MASTER. Bring a chair, grab some take-out Chinese food, and meet us there!
